Compact, high performance air cleaning system of interchangeable modules that may be relocated, interchanged, and configured to create a custom system for the capture and control of airborne contaminants. Filter modules may be arranged in single, double, HEPA, carbon or mixed element filtration trains as required.
The MAC-21 is a modular ventilation unit capable of providing High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration with 99.97% efficiency @ 0.3 microns, at flow rates ranging from 500 CFM at 2 inches of static pressure to 390 CFM at 4 inches of static pressure. The MAC-21 is an assembly of three (3) modules that include:
• Power Module - a direct drive blower/motor and base assembly
• Filter Module - a prefilter & HEPA filter housing assembly
• Quick-mount handling cart and mounting platform for the power module and filter module.
This high flow portable, filter/blower unit providing HEPA filtration has the following attributes:
1. Stainless steel power module with an integrally-mounted motor directly driving a cast aluminum blower. The motor/blower is mounted to a stainless steel base that contains a manual starter with thermal overload protection, a Start/Stop toggle switch, and a power cord receptacle. Motor is 3/4 horsepower, 3450 RPM, 115 VAC, single phase, 9.6 AMP.
2. Filter module is a portable stainless steel housing that holds the prefilter, HEPA filter, or carbon element. It is a two-piece assembly consisting of a housing cover and housing body. Filter modules may be arranged in single, double, HEPA, carbon, or mixed element filtration trains to suit job requirements.
3. The filter module accepts a slide-in prefilter through a separate prefilter compartment door in the filter module housing cover. This separate prefilter compartment allows quick and easy prefilter change-out without disturbing the HEPA filter seal and may be performed without shutting down the unit.
4. The filter module housing cover is also equipped with an "Accessory Track" that will accept a number of different flex duct inlet adapters or special attachments such as the snorkel arm or 55 gallon drum capture velocity hood. The standard housing cover is equipped with 8" flex duct female docking adapter inlet.
5. The quick mount cart functions as the mounting platform and handling device for the Modular Air Cleaning system. Components are constructed from stainless steel tubing resembling a "hand truck" in design.
6. 99.97% HEPA filter, 350 CFM @ 1" static pressure water gage. Element nominal 12.5" x 12.5" x 8" with 3/4" flanged lip on inlet face. DOP test at 100% and 20% of rated flow.
7. Prefilter: Multi-density spun polyester, nominal 14" x 14" x 2".
